Workshop Description: Overviews and update on the psychological and neurophysiological problems associated with prolonged exposure to combat operations. The mechanism of action and appropriate use of medications used in the pharmacologic management of PTSD will be described.

1:30-4:30 pm Combat Trauma: A Clinician's Guide to Treating Returning Veterans and Supporting Families (3 Hours C.E.)
Presenter: Michael Marti, Psy.D.

Workshop Description: This workshop is recommended for mental health professionals who have, or are interested in, serving a military population (retired and active duty). Many soldiers who have served in a combat zone return with symptoms of depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and marital difficulties. This workshop will focus on gaining a theoretical and practical understanding of how to work with this underserved population.

Registration Fees: (If  you are a CAPA Member, you are entitled to ONE free workshop. Please e-mail ellen@gapsychology.org and indicate which workshop you wish to attend for FREE. If you wish to attend both, please register online for the other workshop).

GPA Members: $60 for one workshop or $120 for all day.
Non-Members: $120 for one workshop or $240 all day.
GPA Student Members: $20 for one workshop or $40 for all day
Non-Member Students: $40 for one workshop or $80 all day
